I should have crossed paths with George many years ago, given the shared lines we’ve represented over the years. When at last we did, he asked if I’d represent his fabrics. And they were 100% perfect. Silk velvet, cotton velvet, wool satins, mohair. No patterns, no designs; just a restrained line of solid, subdued colors. Even the finishing of his samples reflects our shared appreciation for what luxury should be: like an apricot mohair overlocked in apricot as opposed to black or white, so as not to distract from the fabric. That’s what makes Cameron a canvas on which to build an entire room.
